Fintex Earns Honors from Wayne County and the City of Taylor
Fintex earned double accolades from Wayne County and the City of Taylor for environmental excellence in the year 2001. Wayne County and the City of Taylor jointly presented the awards at the Taylor city council meeting on May 7, 2002. Wayne County Department of Environment bestowed its coveted Environmental Excellence Award to Fintex for exemplary environmental practices in 2001. The City of Taylor honored Fintex, with Mayor Pitoniak presiding, by passing a Resolution recognizing Fintex as an outstanding corporate neighbor by going beyond compliance and achieving zero violations, displaying creative approaches to wastewater management and treatment, and communicating their wastewater management knowledge to the public.

· Conviction — Environmental awareness and responsibility are founding principles at Fintex. · Conservation— We treat the raw materials which go into our process as the scarce and valuable resources they are. Waste is minimized to the greatest extent possible at Fintex. · Recycle— This is the key to our environmental success. Our waste stream becomes our raw material source. We recycle chemicals, metals, and water. For example, over 90% of our rinse water is continuously reused. · Zero Discharge— Our goal is to create a zero-discharge facility. |
